Quanesha Johnson
President and Founder
Quanesha Johnson is a bold mental health advocate, dynamic educator, and the visionary behind BTG Counseling and Educational Services and Yes, We Go to Therapy, where she proudly serves as Founder and President. As a Licensed Therapist, Certified K–12 Classroom Teacher, and School Counselor in Pennsylvania, Quanesha brings over 20 years of experience at the powerful intersection of mental health and education.
Her work in schools and private practice revealed a recurring truth: stigma, financial barriers, and lack of representation often prevent individuals especially those in underserved communities from seeking the support they deserve. Out of this realization, Quanesha launched Yes, We Go to Therapy to expand access to culturally responsive care, provide financial support for therapy, and develop a pipeline of diverse clinicians.
Whether she’s leading a workshop for school staff, guiding a therapy session, or engaging parents and caregivers, Quanesha leads with compassion, cultural responsiveness, and real-world insight. She’s on a mission to break the stigma around mental health and to create safe, affirming spaces where individuals can heal and thrive.
Her expertise and thought leadership have been featured in The Washington Post, News One, Best Colleges, and Pop Sugar, further amplifying her voice in national conversations on mental health. She regularly partners with schools, universities, and organizations across the country to deliver actionable sessions on topics such as Trauma-Informed Care, Burnout Prevention, Conquering Imposter Syndrome, and The Impact of Social Media on Youth.
Outside of her professional work, Quanesha is a wife and mom of three who enjoys long walks, reading all things mental health, and volunteering in her community. She serves on the African American Business Leader Council, WBEC-East’s RISE Philly initiative, and is a graduate of the Goldman Sachs One Million Black Women in Business program.

Why Support Our Core Programs

Imagine being ready to ask for help, but having to choose between paying rent or paying for therapy. For too many people, this is the painful reality. At Yes We Go to Therapy, we believe no one should have to make that choice.
When you give, you change that story. Your monthly gift can cover a copay, ease the weight of an insurance deductible, or support a therapist in training who is working toward licensure. You are not only making therapy affordable, you are also helping build a diverse and culturally competent mental health workforce equipped to serve communities with compassion and understanding.
Every dollar becomes part of someone’s healing journey: a session they can now attend, a therapist who can continue their calling, a community that grows stronger through awareness and care.
With your support, hope becomes accessible and healing becomes possible for everyone.
